Hydrological extremes with both floods and droughts are the main problems in the catchment area. These extremes lead to implications for the farmers in the area but also to several environmental concerns. During the Aquarius project the pilot partners from Sweden aim to create tools for farmers to act as water managers, to be better prepared for the hydrological extremes in the future and to prevent further environmental damage.
